Custom Full Dentures in Portland, Oregon & the Portland Metro

A Full Smile Should Still Feel Like Your Smile.

If you’re considering full dentures in Portland or the surrounding Portland Metro, you’re probably looking for more than a new set of teeth. You want to eat comfortably, speak confidently and smile without constantly thinking about your dentures.

That’s where we start.

The Denture Studio creates custom full and complete dentures for people throughout Portland, Gresham and surrounding communities. Whether these are your first dentures, you’re replacing an older set or you’re preparing for immediate dentures after extractions, we’ll help you understand your options and create a smile designed around you.

Full Dentures Aren’t Really About Teeth.

They’re about getting back to the stuff you stopped thinking about when you had your natural teeth.

Eating dinner.

Talking with friends.

Laughing.

Taking a picture without automatically hiding your smile.

And simply feeling comfortable when you’re around other people.

A full denture, also called a complete denture, replaces all of the natural teeth in the upper jaw, lower jaw or both.

At The Denture Studio, we don’t believe that means everybody should end up with the same smile.

Your facial features, mouth, bite, preferences and lifestyle are different from the next person’s—and your dentures should reflect that.

Everyone Comes Through Our Door for a Different Reason.

I’ve Never Worn Dentures

Getting Your First Full Dentures

If you’re losing your remaining natural teeth, you’ve probably got questions.

Lots of them.

Will they look natural? How am I going to eat? What will they feel like? How long until I get used to them?

Bring every question you’ve got.

We’ll explain what to expect and help you understand your options without turning the conversation into a dental-school lecture.

My Current Dentures Aren’t Cutting It Anymore

Replacement Full Dentures

Maybe they’re loose.

Maybe chewing isn’t what it used to be.

Maybe they’re worn down.

Or maybe you look in the mirror and simply think, I want a better smile.

Your mouth changes over time, and dentures wear too.

Sometimes an adjustment or denture reline can improve an existing denture. Other times, replacing it with a new custom full denture makes more sense.

We’ll help you figure out which.

Immediate Dentures

You may not have to go through the healing period without teeth.

Immediate dentures can be fabricated before your natural teeth are removed and coordinated with your extraction appointment.

The Denture Studio already provides immediate dentures and coordinates their fabrication with extraction dates.

Because your mouth changes during healing, adjustments and changes in fit should be expected along the way.

Craftsmanship Matters

Your Dentures Aren’t Being Designed by Somebody You’ve Never Met.

The Denture Studio has an on-site denture laboratory, which allows us to stay personally involved in the fabrication, fitting, adjustments and repairs of the dentures we provide.

And we think that matters.

A denture isn’t just a row of teeth.

Small differences in tooth position, bite, shape, shade, fit and appearance can have a big effect on how your finished denture looks and feels.

Having our lab right here keeps the person wearing the denture connected to the people working on it.

Designed Here

Your denture is planned around your individual mouth, fit, function and appearance.

Made Here

Personal involvement from design through fit.

Nobody Wants Their Dentures to Look Like Dentures.

Comfort and function matter.

So does looking in the mirror and liking your smile.

When we design a custom full denture, we’re not simply trying to replace missing teeth. Tooth size, shape, shade and position all contribute to the personality of a smile.

Some people want brighter teeth.

Some want subtle.

Some want to recreate characteristics of the smile they had before.

And plenty of people just tell us:

“Make them look natural.”

That’s a conversation worth having.

Our goal is to create a smile that works with your appearance, preferences and everyday life rather than making you look like somebody else.

From “I Think I Need Dentures” to Your New Smile

01

START WITH A CONVERSATION

Come see us and tell us what’s going on. We’ll look at where you are now, what you’re hoping to accomplish and which denture options make sense.

02

IMPRESSIONS & BITE

Accurate impressions and bite records provide the foundation we need to begin designing your full dentures.

03

DESIGN & TRY-IN

Now your new smile begins taking shape. Try-ins give us an opportunity to evaluate important aspects of the denture before it’s completed.

04

YOUR NEW DENTURES

Once fabrication is complete, we’ll fit your new dentures and evaluate their bite, appearance and overall fit.

05

GETTING COMFORTABLE

New dentures require an adjustment period.

If something doesn’t feel right, tell us.

Follow-up adjustments are an important part of helping your new dentures work comfortably in everyday life.

How Long Does It Take to Get Full Dentures in Portland?

Replacement full dentures generally take The Denture Studio approximately 3–4 weeks to fabricate, with about one week between appointments preferred.

Immediate dentures work differently because their fabrication needs to be coordinated with your scheduled tooth extractions. More complex denture cases may also require additional time.

If you’re trying to plan around work, travel, surgery or another deadline, tell us when you call.

We’ll give you a much better idea of what your particular timeline looks like.

Traditional Full Dentures

Traditional complete dentures are removable and designed to fit the anatomy of your mouth without being anchored to dental implants.

For many Portland-area denture patients, they’re a straightforward and effective way to replace an entire upper or lower arch.

Want Something More Secure?

Some patients want additional retention and stability.

That’s where implant-supported or implant-retained dentures may enter the conversation.

Dental implants can be used to help retain a removable denture, giving certain patients additional stability and confidence.

The Denture Studio provides implant-retained denture solutions in addition to conventional full dentures.

Real Questions We Hear About Full Dentures

The cost of full dentures varies depending on the type of denture, materials, your individual needs and whether additional services are involved. Rather than throwing out a generic number that may have nothing to do with your situation, The Denture Studio offers a complimentary consultation and can provide a written quote for recommended denture treatment.

They’re generally two names for the same basic thing. A full or complete denture replaces all of the natural teeth in an upper or lower arch. If you still have healthy natural teeth remaining, a partial denture may be more appropriate.

The Denture Studio generally allows 3–4 weeks for fabrication of replacement dentures, with approximately one week between appointments preferred. Immediate dentures follow a different timeline because they’re coordinated with tooth extractions.

Depending on your situation, immediate dentures can be fabricated before your extraction appointment and coordinated with the removal of your remaining teeth. This helps avoid going through the initial healing period without teeth.

Not necessarily. Sometimes a denture that has become loose can be improved with a reline or adjustment rather than being completely replaced. The Denture Studio provides full and partial denture relines, with relines currently offered as a same-day service requiring a minimum of approximately six hours.

Absolutely. Although we’re targeting this page around Portland and the Portland Metro, The Denture Studio’s physical location is in Gresham and the practice serves patients from communities throughout the metro area, including Gresham, Troutdale, Fairview, Wood Village, Happy Valley, Clackamas, Milwaukie, Oregon City and Sandy, along with Southwest Washington.
